Voters support revised General Brown school budget

The second proposed budget at General Brown School District passed by a vote of 1,009 to 367.

Moravia and Tupper Lake pass revised school budgets

Two other districts were able to get their budgets approved. Moravia's revised spending plan passed easily. Tupper Lake's budget vote did pass, but only with 53 percent approval.

The body of a fallen Fort Drum soldier returned home Monday morning. Lieutenant Colonel Todd Clark was among three New Yorkers killed back on June eighth in Afghanistan.

Lax manager shows team life is bigger than the game

It's a school, a community, a sports team, and one that is no stranger to adversity. Cancer has been the biggest enemy of the Carthage High School Lacrosse program, hitting former players, family members, and even its head coach. So, the young men who make up the team are learning more about life than they ever expected. Along with the coach, another man is helping to teach those lessons -- team manager Kevin Cook. Born with Down syndrome, he is now battling several health-related problems. Our Brian Dwyer spent the past few months with Kevin and the team, and experienced the ups and the downs, learning how the game can mean so much to one person and how much that person can mean to the game.

Poll: New lows for Cuomo and Silver
