Eight startup companies from around the world are in Syracuse working to get their ventures off the ground. They were chosen from more than 300 applicants to be a part of the first Start-Fast Venture Accelerator Program in Central New York. This week, our Katie Gibas introduces us to a group of entrepreneurs working to make your email less chaotic.

Michael D'Eredita and the rest of the Mozzo Analytics team were getting frustrated with how overwhelming their e-mail inboxes were becoming.

"Email is becoming this productivity tool that's becoming infused with all this noise and all of this social media and everything else out there. You keep in contact with your personal contacts. You keep in touch with your business contacts, family, for example, all of these types of things that come into your Email, and it's getting in the way of people's productivity," said Michael D'Eredita, the Mozzo Analytics CEO.

Sure there are folders and labels you can use to organize your Email. But that takes more time.

"Online, in the digital world, there's so much information being recorded, that the question is why can't the system be intelligent enough to organize things for me?" said D'Eredita.

Well now, with Mozzo Analytics, it can. The Mozzo technology will extract links, photos, documents and other attachments from your Email and display them in a user-friendly format.

"We give you a nice browsable experience. We give you your set of results, big pictures, words, things that you can easily see. And we let you easily browse through them so you can find exactly what you need," said D'Eredita.

It's as simple as logging into your Gmail account, click the MozzoMail button, and you have both your regular Email page and the Mozzo organization page. They also have an option for Mozzo to auto-prioritize your inbox.

All of the companies involved in the Start-Fast Venture Accelerator Program will see their hard work come to fruition at Demo Day this Thursday, August 16th. They will present their companies to a variety of investors in hopes of getting someone to continue to finance their entrepreneurial dreams.
