ONEIDA COUNTY, N.Y. -- Oneida County has released results of Operation Tax Burden.

Several law enforcement groups worked together over the last few weeks to arrest 24 people for welfare fraud. They are accused of fraudulently collecting welfare benefits including food stamps, Medicaid, public assistance and daycare.

Officials estimate that collectively the 24 received more than $126,000 in illegal benefits.
