ELMIRA, N.Y. -- Also passed at Monday's Elmira City Council meeting was a resolution to accept more than $226,000 in insurance money for the destroyed pavilion at Grove Park. That pavilion burnt to the ground in March.

City officials say they hope to start rebuilding by next spring and they are looking into the possibilities of adding more smaller pavilions throughout the park as well.

If the city does rebuild an identical replacement pavilion, they would receive an additional $113,000 dollars in funding.
