A record number of hot air balloons came out for this year’s Balloons and Bounty Festival at Wolf Oak Acres in Oneida. The YNN StormChaser was on hand giving kids the opportunity to record their very own YNN Weathercast. YNN joined almost 50 local vendors for a great weekend. The amazing weather enticed thousands of Central New Yorker’s to join hot air balloonists from all over the country. The event featured 20 hot air balloons which launched 5 times over the weekend, even offering rides to event attendees. The 2011 Syracuse Festival of Races was held October 2nd, at the Manley Field House. Thousands of people turned out on a very rainy Sunday morning. The YNN StormChaser was there to greet runners when they finished the race. While entrant numbers were down for the 2011 races, that didn’t stop runners from breaking national records with records being set in the men’s and women’s 5K runs, including the national record for a 93 year old runner by Henry Sypniewski.
