If you like it cold, head to the Quebec Winter Carnival in Quebec City, Canada! This is a very big event for the people of Quebec. And they have no problem with the cold! They embrace it! The Quebec people are very proud of their annual event, happening February 1st through February 17th. Most of the events take place on weekends and most of the fun can be found in the Plaines of Abraham, the park just outside the walled city.

Purchase an effigy for $15 (Canadian) and you are good for all events and activities!

The trip to Quebec City by car is about an 8 to 9 hour drive, on average. Bring your passport!

Accommodations near the Plaines of Abraham: Hilton Quebec (418) 647-2411, Loews and Delta. There are many smaller hotels and B&B's mostly in Old Quebec, also within walking distance to events.
