The 15-race, two-day program with purses exceeding $25 million is scheduled for Friday, November 1 and Saturday, November 2.

Santa Anita is hosting the Breeders' Cup this year following two seasons at Churchill Downs. The 2013 event will be the fourth time in six years and the seventh time overall that the Breeders' Cup is held at the Arcadia, California track. This year and in 2013, the Breeders' Cup will be televised by the NBC Sports Network, with the $5 million Breeders' Cup Classic shown live in prime time on NBC.

The New York Racing Association has not had the Breeders' Cup at one of its tracks since 2005 when it was run at Belmont Park.

Breeders’ Cup officials indicated that no decisions have been made on host sites beyond 2013.
