SYRACUSE, N.Y. - SU football coach Doug Marrone says this year's spring camp has been "outstanding" and his players have been better focused as a result of his closing most of the workouts to the fans and media.
The Orange's only open practice this spring was two Saturdays ago in Rochester and this Saturday's spring game represents the only other chance for the public and media to see the football team before August.
But Marrone says he felt it necessary to prevent any false conclusions by on-lookers and says he's looking forward to putting his club on display at the annual spring game at the Carrier Dome Saturday at noon.
