XTERRA Lake Placid triathlon
ESSEX COUNTY, N.Y. -- This weekend, Lake Placid will host another world-famous triathlon serious - the XTERRA Triathlon.
XTERRA officials are expecting roughly 300 competitors to test their strength and endurance. The event will include a 1,500 meter swim in Mirror Lake, a 25 kilometer mountain bike ride and a 10 kilometer run.
Competitors signed up Friday and events are scheduled for both Saturday and Sunday.
