Syracuse Mayor-elect assembles transition team

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Mayor-elect Stephanie Miner has put together her transition team. More than 80 people will serve on a number of committees, including some republicans.

They'll be responsible for reporting to Miner before she takes office on issues affecting the city. The committees will look at everything from economic development and public safety to education and the arts.

Three people will co-chair the transition team: businessman and former State Republican Chairman J. Patrick Barrett; John Feinblatt, the Criminal Justice Coordinator for New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg; and M. Catherine Richardson, former president of the New York State and Onondaga County Bar Associations.
