WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- The longest running locally produced program on North Country TV is celebrating 30 years of broadcasting. "Whiz Quiz," seen weeknights Monday through Thursday is broadcast by WPBS of Watertown.

The show pits teams from area high schools against each other in answering questions about math, history, geography, art, sports, literature, and current events. Thursday night, WPBS held a reception at its studio to honor the show and the show's host for much of the 30 years, Glenn Gough.

"I didn't think it would last that long, I'm glad I got to the thirtieth year of it! But I didn't think it was going to last this long, I'm certainly glad it did,” said Gough.

News 10 Now fielded a team for a special Celebrity Whiz Quiz show, which will be seen in late December.
