WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- Teenagers from all over Jefferson County are Modeling for Miracles for the third year in a row.

More than 40 high school students participated in the Teens for Miracles Charity Fashion Show. The money raised goes to the Children's Miracle Network of Northern New York, and helps local families with sick children. Organizers say it's a fun and easy way to get kids involved in their community.

"It gets them excited, and it makes them feel good about themselves personally and also for the fact that they're getting involved in helping other children locally," said fashion show organizer Kathy Lettiere.

"It's amazing to be able to see someone that you know on the street that you helped them. You changed their life in some way or another," said Kristina Ferris, Miss Thousand Islands 2010.

Organizers estimate the event will raise more than $2,000.
