ONEONTA, N.Y. -- There's a new game in town in Oneonta. Actually, it's the same game, just a new team.
Earlier this month, the minor league team the Oneonta Tigers announced they would be leaving for Norwich, Connecticut, creating a hole in the baseball-loving town. Now a new team is stepping in.
Tuesday, that team received a name, the Oneonta Outlaws, formerly the Saratoga Phillies. The Outlaws will play in the NYCBL, an elite collegiate summer league. They'll play 21 games at Damaschke Field in a season running from June to August.
