Couple arrested for grand larceny
ST. LAWRENCE COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Canadian couple has been arrested after authorities say they sold cruise ship vacations, but never came through with the deal.
Linda Belanger, 64, and Robert Belanger, 65, have a business out of Ogdensburg. They sold a cruise at a charity auction for more than $2,800 and an additional upgrade for $2,100. But investigators say the Belangers kept the money and led the victim to believe he had a cruise booked up until the day before the ship set sail.
The couple has been arraigned on grand larceny charges.
