ST. LAWRENCE COUNTY, N.Y. -- After a lengthy selection process, a jury has been seated for the re-trial of Wayne Oxley. Eleven men and one woman were chosen to be on the jury that will hear the case in St. Lawrence County Court.
Oxley is accused of beating his neighbor, Bernard Trickey Jr., to death with a baseball bat at his home in Ogdensburg back in 2005. He was convicted in 2006, but the conviction was overturned after a judge decided to throw out one witness' testimony.
Oxley's father, who was with him in court, says it's been a hard struggle, but hopes the jury is fair and impartial.
Opening statements will begin Wednesday morning.
