Saga continues in Wayne Oxley trial
OGDENSBURG, N.Y. -- His retrial may have ended in a hung jury last week, but Wayne Oxley will be put on trial once again for the murder of his neighbor back in 2005.
According to sources, the trial in St. Lawrence County Court has been scheduled for late April. This will be trial number three for the Ogdensburg man who's already cost the county upwards of $200,000 as he is represented on taxpayer dollars.
Oxley was originally convicted of beating Bernard Trickey Junior to death in 2006, but that verdict was overturned last year. His retrial lasted nearly two months, ending in a stalemate between jurors.
There was some uncertainty over whether there would be a third trial, but it appears the saga will continue.
