Stanley Cup visits Lake Placid
Stanley Cup Champion Boston Bruins are continuing to celebrate their victory with fans in Lake Placid. Our Amanda Kelley brings us to the special visit with the Cup.

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. - -It's every hockey fan's dream come true.
Boston Bruins Head Athletic Trainer Don DelNegro said, "The experience is surreal. It's something you dream about your whole career as an Athletic Trainer, as anybody involved in sports."
Boston Bruins Head Athletic Trainer Don DelNegro brought the Stanley Cup home to Lake Placid Tuesday for thousands of Bruins fans. You could feel the excitement throughout the town.
Vermont Resident Ryan Nadeo said, "Well, we're really big Bruins fans and the Stanley Cup, I mean it's a legend. I really love it."
Saranac Lake Resident Scott Fenton said, "I got goosebumps right now. It's incredible. I've never seen it before, I've seen it on TV and gave us goosebumps to see them win it."
The prized NHL trophy is just beginning its tour with the 2011 Stanley Cup Champions, bringing joy to hockey fans wherever it stops.
Keeper of the Cup Howie Borrow said, "You never see a sad face or an unhappy face when you see the cup."
For the Boston Bruins the road to the Stanley Cup made a stop here at Lake Placid's Olympic Center and that makes bringing Lord Stanley here just that more special for the team and its fans.
Borrow said, "At the time that the Bruins brought the team here just to have a couple of days break in between their series with Montreal, i think it was good in the pressure situation that they were in."
When the team was down 0 and 2 in their seven game series against the Canadiens. Their stop at Lake Placid helped get them back on track. It was a pivotal moment for the team and DelNegro says bringing the Cup here was the perfect way to say thanks.
DelNegro said, "With the town just kind of opening their arms up and hearts to us and took us in, I felt it was really important to bring the cup back to the people of the town and show our appreciation and the player's appreciation."
After just a few short hours and thousands of photographs, Lord Stanley made its mark in Lake Placid.
Plattsburgh Resident Kevin Edwards said, "Pretty awesome. Really cool. Part of history."
Saranac Lake Resident Scott Fenton said, "It's incredible, what a feeling."
It's a day these hockey fans will never forget.
The Stanley Cup has been awarded 94 times and the Boston Bruins have claimed the trophy six times. Prior to this season, Boston had last won the Cup in 1972.
