TOMPKINS COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Fort Drum soldier who led police on a two day manhunt appeared before a judge in Lansing Thursday evening.
Russell Marcum, 20, pleaded not guilty to both felony and misdemeanor charges related to the chase that began September 16th.
Marcum had already been charged with burglary in Jefferson County before he assaulted another Fort Drum soldier and escaped custody, leading police through several counties before he surrendered in Dryden.
Judge Howell set bail at $20,000. Marcum remains in the Tompkins County Jail.
