JEFFERSON COUNTY, N.Y. -- Barking dogs helped save a mother and son from fire. Their mobile home on Rogers Crossing Road in the Jefferson County Town of Wilna caught fire shortly before eleven Wednesday night.
The fire started on an enclosed porch.
A mother and son were home at the time and they were alerted to the fire by barking dogs, even before any alarms went off. They made it out safely.
The fire appears to be accidental, but the cause is still under investigation.
