Railroad anchors stolen in Ellisburg

JEFFERSON COUNTY, N.Y. -- State Police in Watertown are looking for more information on the theft of nearly $4,000 worth of railroad anchors.
Police say the theft happened sometime between November 4th and November 11th on the CSX tracks in Ellisburg. It's believed about 2,300 of the anchors were taken.
CSX says there is no threat to service or the public, but anyone with any information is asked to call State Police at (315) 782-3691.
