WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- The Jefferson County Historical Society is kicking off the holiday season with their Annual Victorian Faire.

This 19th Annual event draws unique local vendors and crafters to the Paddock Mansion to display their work. Local residents roamed the three floors of the mansion, finding hand-crafted antique jewelry, arts and crafts in every corner. The historical society says the interest in this event has become so great, they've become very selective in which vendors actually attend.

Jefferson County Historical Society Executive Director Bill Wood said, "Our goal is we don't have quantity. We don't have volume. This is not a flea market. This is something where when people come year after year, they're going to experience unique items that they won't see in other places, and that's our goal."

The Victorian Faire is also a fundraiser for the Historical Society that helps them maintain the five historical buildings at their Washington Street location.
