WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- Watertown kicked off the holiday season Sunday with its annual parade down Washington Street.

Hundreds lined the route on the warm afternoon to enjoy the festivities. More than 50 Local groups, organizations, bands and more marched in this year's parade. Kids say they enjoyed watching all of the floats and displays.

10-years old Bryce Quintin said, "They have a lot of cool cars coming through, people handing out candy."

11-year old Ethan Ruttan said, "There are a bunch of floats and they're all good, and there are a bunch of nice people out here that volunteered to do it."

Santa made a special appearance in the parade as well. The city's celebrations will continue later this week with the tree-lighting in Public Square.
