FORT DRUM, N.Y. -- Fort Drum kicked off its holiday season Thursday night with the lighting of the Christmas Tree and Menorah.

Hundreds of youngsters were there to watch, many who have a parent or both parents overseas.

Fort Drum Commanding General Mark Milley had some fun talking with the children and there was also a special guest who came in on a fire truck: Santa. He took pictures with the kids and then got on his sleigh to lead them to a party.
