CORTLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Fort Drum soldier who escaped military custody and led police on a three day manhunt back in September faced a Cortland County judge Wednesday.
Russell Marcum, 20, pleaded guilty to third degree burglary and unlawfully fleeing a police officer. Police say he stole two cars and led them on a chase through several counties before turning himself in.
Marcum is scheduled to be sentenced in Cortland County in February, but still faces multiple charges in other counties.
