WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- A local organization is helping Watertown Residents check off their Holiday 'To-Do' list. Miss Thousand Islands Allison Carlos and others were wrapping gifts at the Ritz Day Spa Saturday.

Officials with the scholarship pageant said they're happy to help take away one stress of the holiday season with this annual event.

All donations collected directly support the Miss Thousand Islands Scholarship fund, one that has helped several local young women pursue their dreams.

Miss Thousand Islands 2012 Allison Carlos said, “This organization has really helped me with scholarships, with community service, it's helped fund my way through JCC, so I'll be attending Syracuse University next fall. It's a great scholarship organization and donations to help this cause are greatly appreciated. "

Miss Thousand Islands will also be gift-wrapping this Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
