Man arrested for stealing Greyhound bus
WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- A Peekskill man was arrested in Watertown Christmas morning after police found him with a stolen Greyhound bus.
Andrew Hickey, 39, was found near the bus, which had become disabled, on Route 11 in the Town of Watertown.
Hickey has been charged with criminal possession of stolen property and unauthorized use of a vehicle, both felonies.
Deputies say the bus, worth about a half a million dollars, was stolen from the Regional Transportation Center in Syracuse.
The reason the bus was disabled: Greyhound was able to electronically deactivate it when the company realized it was missing.
