JEFFERSON COUNTY, N.Y. -- Jefferson County's economy gets an added boost in the form of sales tax collections for 2011.
The county collected more than $32 million in sales tax last year. That's nearly $1.4 million over expectations and it's about the same amount more than last year.
Lawmakers say the number of Canadian shoppers and Fort Drum are the biggest reason why.
