Jamesville-DeWitt's Dajuan Coleman and Cicero-North Syracuse's Breanna Stewart were named McDonald's All-Americans Thursday evening and will compete in the showcase event for high school seniors March 28 in Chicago.
Coleman, who will play his college ball at Syracuse, is averaging 19 points, 13 rebounds and two blocks per game this season for the top-ranked Red Rams while Stewart, who is heading to UConn, is averaging 24 points, 10 rebounds, three blocks, three steals, and three assists per game for the Lady Northstars, who are also ranked No. 1 in the state.
Two girls bound for Syracuse also made the cut: guards Brianna Butler from Brooklyn and Brittney Sykes from Newark.
