AUBURN, N.Y. -- From entertainment to original cuisine, there was a little something for everyone on Sunday at the Summer Block Party in Auburn. Sunday's festival was actually a combination of two events, the Finger Lakes Musical Theater Festival provided entertaining acts, while the Flavor of the Finger Lakes served up all of the food.
Members of the chamber of commerce said it was a really neat way to exhibit all that Auburn has to offer.
"It's a great way to bring people downtown, show them the venues, show them the spaces where they can be seeing these great shows. And also to expose them to the wonderful culinary arts that we have in the Finger Lakes region here, as well as with the wine and the cheese and the food," said Andrew Fish, Executive Director of Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce.
Organizers said they are planning to move the block party back next year so it does not conflict with graduation weekend so they can get even more vendors to participate.
