JEFFERSON COUNTY, N.Y. -- Jefferson County was the spot to be Wednesday if you are into unique, one-of-a-kind vintage cars and trucks and a unique race.
The Great Race is a cross country rally that takes teams and puts them against the clock and each other. This year's event is centered around the Great Lakes, covering 19 cities, four states and two countries.
Besides the teams, the Corvette Club, Highway Legends and other classic cars were at the Watertown Fairgrounds.
The event pays homage to the original "Great Race" that took place from New York to Paris in 1908.
"It's vintage cars up to 1969. Our earliest car is a 1907 Reno. And I'll tell ya, this is about passion, it’s about car guys going around seeing a beautiful country with their families and seeing wonderful towns like Watertown, New York," Corky Coker said.
There were also some motorcycles on display from 1969 and earlier, along with vendors, games and live music.
