NORTH COUNTRY -- It looks like the popular History Channel show ‘American Pickers’ could be coming to the Adirondacks and the North Country. The Lewis County Chamber of Commerce says it got a phone call from the History Channel that the show was coming to the area and wanted some leads on places to go and people to meet.

‘American Pickers’ follows two men, Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz, as they travel across the country looking for interesting and valuable antiques, they then buy items to re-sell. The show is hoping people who have big junkyards, barns, or just storage sheds crammed full of items will let the pickers come in and buy some stuff.

The Chamber says the show does not want to go to flea markets, antique shops or malls, instead preferring the personal touch of a home or property.

If you are interested or know anyone who might be, you're asked to call the ‘American Pickers’ show at either (646) 493-2184 or (646) 873-6518.
