UTICA, N.Y. -- Utica police are investigating two shootings in the city.
Officers first responded to a call at 1448 Kemble Street just before 11:00 pm Monday night. They said a male was shot in the lower back and was taken to the hospital with a non-life threatening injury. His identity has not yet been released.
Just minutes after the first incident, police responded to another shooting at 168 Elmwood Place. Police said shots were fired into the first floor apartment where a baby and several small children were sleeping. No injuries were reported.
