Three people hurt in crash on James Street

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Three people are in critical condition after a one car crash on James Street in Syracuse.

A Chevy Impala hit a light pole between Teall and Cook avenues around 5:15 a.m. Monday.

Firefighters had to extricate the three victims.

The driver, Darryl Trapps, 20, and his two passengers, Robert McGann, 21, and Melyssa Turner, 19, were all hospitalized at Upstate University Hospital and are currently listed in critical condition.

All three are from Syracuse. Police are still investigating the crash.
