MIDDLEBURY TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- We have a traffic alert for drivers passing through Route 287 in Pennsylvania. A section of that route in Middlebury Township will be closed for the next few days for hazmat cleanup.

Last week, a fuel tanker truck rolled over about a mile and a half north of Route 249, spilling some of its contents. Today, crews will begin deep excavation adjacent to the highway, as well as beneath it.

Traffic will be detoured using Route 249 and 49. Signs will be posted at multiple intersections.
