SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Both the pedestrian and the driver of a pickup truck involved in an accident in Syracuse on Monday have been ticketed. Police say Timothy Patterson, 43, was walking across the 2100 block of Park Street around 2 p.m. when he was hit by a pickup truck driven by Richard Benjamin, 36.

Police ticketed Benjamin for failure to use due care while approaching a pedestrian and Patterson was ticketed for failure to yield right of way to a motor vehicle.

Patterson is currently listed in stable condition at Upstate University Hospital.
