OSWEGO COUNTY, N.Y. -- State police are investigating a drowning in Oswego County. Authorities were called to the Town of Sandy Creek at around 7:20 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a missing kayaker.

Members of the town's volunteer fire department located an adult male in the water and began life-saving measures. The man was taken to Oswego Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

His identity is being withheld at this time as the investigation continues.
