SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- We have a correction to a story we first reported Tuesday night about a crash on James Street in Syracuse. Police had initially said that one of the victims, Robert McGann, 21, had died of his injuries. Since that time we have learned that McGann is alive and still in critical care at Upstate University Hospital.

McGann was in the front seat of a car that went off the road, hit a light pole and then a tree head-on around 5 a.m. Monday. The driver, Darryl Trapps, 20, and a back seat passenger, Melyssa Turner, 19, are still in critical condition, along with McGann.

Police are still investigating what led to the crash.
