JEFFERSON COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Clayton couple has been accused of sexually assaulting a child.

Following an investigation, Alexandria State Police have arrested Christopher Robinson, 33, and Tracy Lindsay-Cantwell, 25, for the sexual abuse of a nine-year-old girl.

Police say Robinson had sexual contact with the girl and that he was aided and supported by Lindsay-Cantwell.

Both have been charged with predatory sexual assault against a child, first degree rape and first degree criminal sex act, all felonies.

The two were arraigned in the Town of Clayton Court and sent to Jefferson County Jail.
