BROOME COUNTY, N.Y. -- A new program will allow Broome County residents without dental insurance to get lower dental costs for just ten cents per day. County Executive Debbie Preston announced the details Thursday.
The program will get participants up to 27-percent off of dental care costs. With more than 60 participating dentists, including some specialists, card holders will be able to pay a flat fee for various services. Each dental professional who has joined the program has agreed to charge set fees for each procedure.
The program covers more than just basic dental care offering discounts for procedures like crowns and implants as well.
"This is critical. And I want to stress that with no cost to the county this program will help Broome County residents access more affordable dental care and often care that is overlooked," said Broome County Executive Debbie Preston.
Preston stressed that this is not an insurance program but instead is a network of dentists offering their services for less.
