BOONVILLE, N.Y. -- Rain clouds overhead didn't keep people from the Boonville-Oneida County Fair Thursday.
The 124th annual event features the usual food, midway rides and agricultural displays that fair goers have come to know and love, as well as special events, like the out of field tractor pull.
Officials say showers Thursday morning didn't affect the course or cause a muddy mess on the fair grounds.
People we talked to say it's an event they were determined to make it, too, rain or shine.
"Just the fair itself. It's changed every year and there's always something going on with the tractor pull or more rides or events. Just the fair itself," said Frank Mallozzi of Utica, who says he hasn't missed a visit to the fair in years.
The fair runs until Sunday, when it concludes with a demolition derby set to start at 6 p.m.
