ELLISBURG, N.Y. -- A Jefferson County man faces charges in a crash that killed another man. It happened on Lake Road in the Town of Ellisburg just before 9:30 Saturday night.

Sheriff's deputies say a pickup truck was driving westbound when it went off the road and rolled over several times into a field. They say one man died at the scene. His name is not being released pending notification of family.

The driver, Amado Hernandez-Alvarado, 23, was taken to Samaritan Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

He's now charged with second-degree vehicular manslaughter, driving while intoxicated, unlicensed operation and speeding.
