UTICA, N.Y. -- A second man is arrested in connection with a murder that took place in Utica last year.
Friday, police arrested Octavius Garrett, 31, on a grand jury indictment for second-degree murder for his involvement in the homicide of Anthony Garner.
Garner died after he was shot multiple times in the area of James and West Streets on May 25, 2011. A surveillance camera stationed above the street caught the whole scene on video, showing three people attacking Garner.
Earlier this year, Marshall Jackson, 31, was found guilty of second-degree murder in the case. Jackson was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison.
