TULLY, N.Y. -- A motorcyclist from Binghamton suffered severe leg injuries after crashing her bike the Tully area. State Police say Jessica Williams, 38, was riding alongside her husband and several other bikers on State Route 11 Sunday night when she drifted off the shoulder of the road, caught the guardrail and was thrown off. She was airlifted to Upstate University Hospital where she is listed in serious condition.

State Police are still interviewing the other bikers she was with at the time and aren't 100 percent sure why Williams veered off the road.

"There are areas of the pavement that are a little cracked here, that she may have been trying to avoid the cracked pavement. We're not certain why she drifted over, but the witnesses said some of them thought she may have been pulling over toward the shoulder of the roadway," said Sgt. Susan Lockyer, State Police.

State Police say all of the motorcyclists were from the Binghamton area. They were heading home from Syracuse at the time of the crash.
