CORTLAND, N.Y. -- The New York Jets opened their training camp to another group of campers.

About 25 kids from Camp Good Days and Special Times got a close-up look at the team's practice at SUNY Cortland Wednesday. The kids, ages six to 16, are all affected by illnesses like cancer or other life challenges.

In addition to seeing the pros work out, they were also able to play in the fun zone, shop and even get some autographs.

"They're really excited to see the Jets today. They've all brought their footballs and shirts to be signed. And it's kids from all of our different programs. So some of them have lost a parent or sibling, some of them have diagnoses themselves and they're just here to put that aside and have a good day.," program coordinator Claire McKenney said.
