FRANKFORT, N.Y. -- It took dozens of fire crews and tankers from Oneida and Herkimer County to fight Wednesday's fire, but the fire fighters also had help.

Community members brought out food and water throughout the afternoon to keep the crews going. Some restaurants even redirected all of their staff to feeding the firefighters.

"I have a lot of firemen that come in here to eat all the time, so I didn't even think about it. As soon as they seen the fire, I seen them come up here, set up, start taking water out of the Marina, we set up a little post here and we've just been doing it all day," said Dan Mendez, owner of Jordan Renee’s.

There was also an EMS tent at the site of the fire providing crews with water and oxygen.
