BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- Authorities executed several search warrants in Binghamton on Thursday. Police Chief Joseph Zikuski says the search warrants related to narcotics and weapons.
The raids, which included a house on Tompkins Street, were part of a joint operation between Binghamton Police, the Broome County Narcotics Task Force, State Police and the FBI.
Zikuski says no shots were fired during the searches Thursday, but the SWAT team did use flash bangs when entering the home.
There's no word yet how many people were arrested, but Zikuski says he expects a few will be charged.
