Man sentenced in child pornography case
ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- A North Syracuse man will spend 17-and-a-half years in prison after pleading guilty to federal child pornography charges.
Michael Dolson, 49, was convicted of transporting, receiving and possessing child pornography back in January. Investigators say he sent explicit images to an undercover officer and also encouraged the officer to find an infant to babysit and abuse.
After his arrest, police found more than 1,600 illegal images and more than 950 video files on his computer.
In addition to his prison sentence, Dolson will be on supervised release for life and will have to register as a sex offender.
