FRANKLIN COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Franklin County Fair returns to Malone this weekend for the 162nd year in a row.

The nine day fair is packed with events and entertainment.

Like every year, there will be the usual rides, demolition derby and animal competitions. But this year, new music stars will make their way to Malone, one being former “American Idol” contestant Kelly Pickler. She’ll be performing Saturday night.

The array of events is scheduled to begin Saturday at 8 a.m. Admission will vary between $10 and $15.
