FORT DRUM, N.Y. -- Governor Cuomo will be on Fort Drum today. Cuomo is touring ReEnergy Black River, a biomass energy facility. ReEnergy Holdings LLC purchased the former coal plant last December.

According to their website, ReEnergy plans to purchase $11 million in wood chips per year from North Country foresters to use as the facility's primary fuel source. ReEnergy is aiming to produce enough electricity to meet 100 percent of Fort Drum's demand.
