OAK CREEK, Wis. -- Authorities hold a news conference in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, following Sunday's shooting rampage that left six people dead inside a Sikh temple. The gunman has been identified as 40-year-old Army veteran Wade Michael Page.

Page was killed outside the temple in a shootout with police.

Authorities said Page served in the 1990s before given a general discharge.

The FBI is investigating the shooting as a possible act of domestic terrorism, but a motive is not known at this time.

An officer was also shot and is in critical condition.

Oak Creek Police Chief John Edwards said, "In my mind, they are all heroes. They did exactly what was expected of them. They're senior officers. I was asked today, what do you think of their actions. It didn't surprise me in the least what they did. They all did what they had to do. They helped anther officer and stopped a worse tragedy from happening by their actions."

Federal officials said the gun used in the shooting was bought legally and they have no reason to believe anyone but the gunman was involved.
